Study Island High School - coming in March!

Study Island's High School Program will be completed and ready for use by the end of March. Let us know if you would like to be on our list to call when it rolls out.

The Study Island High School program will have the same look and feel as the current program, but will help High School students review the standards and concepts they will be tested on during the MME (Michigan Merit Exam).

• Study Island is organized into topics covering all of the objectives within the Michigan standards that are tested on the MME assessment in Grade 11. The combined MME assessment measures student learning in the Michigan high school standards, benchmarks, and core content expectations.

• The academic material is organized in topics which contain a lesson and assessment questions with explanations.

• For each subject, the students must take a pre-test, complete all content groups covering all the Michigan High School Standards, and pass a post-test in order to complete the program.

• Teachers have access to a private page where they can view usage statistics and results for each student, a group of students, and the school as a whole. In addition, teachers can compare their students' performance against other students in Michigan

We will also be rolling out Social Studies for all grades this spring!

It's only February, but you're already planning summer school programs!

Keep skills sharp this summer on Study Island!

Whether in formal summer school programs or informally at home or library, Study Island is the perfect self-paced review tool for students to continue practicing skills and challenging themselves to exceed grade level expectations. Study Island exercises and games are accessible via the internet all summer long for unlimited access.

And yes, teachers, all that student data is available for you to view online at any time. You'll particularly enjoy viewing stats on your new class next August which will help you quickly identify which prior year skills to highlight in your fall review.

Summer School:
Motivating and completely created for your state standards, Study Island is a wonderful addition to any summer school program. Students can work independently at their own pace, engaged in skills practice which is self-adjusting to fill in gaps. Study Island offers both test mode and game formats to break up the monotony and reward student success.

For home use:
No more tedious copying of summer packets! Arm your parents this summer with their child's Study Island username and password. The ability to hop online to review the skills they have just learned this year, or to check out some of the lessons and quizzes for next year, all in a fun and motivating environment is a big hit with moms and dads. We suggest sending our tri-fold brochure home with each student (found on page 23 of your Administrator Manual*) so their username and password will be close at hand.
